About us

A spin-off of the University of Turin, Department of Computer Science, Sinbit was born in October, 2012 when Luca Console, Roberto Furnari, Pierluigi Grillo and Fabiana Vernero, the co-founders, decided to bring the results of their academic research to market.
It is supported by 2i3t, Incubatore d'Imprese dell'Università di Torino, within the scope of the Sovvenzione Globale Project 2012/2013 by Regione Piemonte.

Sinbit deals with the design and development of software products based on innovative models of knowledge representation and human-computer interaction, with special attention devoted to the the world of mobile devices and the opportunities they offer. Sinbit targets the trade show, shopping, large-scale retail trade, tourism and cultural heritage industries.

With its leading product, SmartFair, Sinbit offers a format for a suite of software products, ranging from native smartphone apps, to web applications and server-side tools, which support visitors, exhibitors and organizers of fairs and trade shows.

Sinbit's team has all the design and development skills to follow their products along their lifecyle, and in particular:

  • Software architectures
  • Native mobile applications development
  • User-Centred Design and Human-Computer Interaction

In addition to offering its own products, Sinbit makes its team's skills available to other companies, supporting them in the conception, interaction design and development phases, according to their needs and preferences.

Finally, Sinbit also offers continuing education services related to the design and development of mobile solutions, and targeting both public and private companies.
